Hi, I’m Daphne.

I’m the founder of D-Scribe and one of our Dutch teachers.

Together with our teaching team, I help internationals learn Dutch in a structured, practical and personal way. Depending on your course, level and learning goals, your lessons may be taught by me or one of our other teachers.

Each teacher brings their own experience and teaching style, while we all share the same goal: helping you feel more confident actually using Dutch in everyday life.

Yes. All lessons are live and online, so you can join from home, work or wherever you are. The lessons are interactive and include plenty of speaking practice and personal feedback.

Yes. You can choose between one-to-one lessons and small group courses with 2 to 4 students. Private lessons offer maximum flexibility and personalisation, while group lessons give you the opportunity to learn and practise together with others at a similar level.

Most students take two one-hour lessons per week. This gives you enough time to practise between lessons while still making consistent progress. More intensive or flexible schedules are also possible.

The duration depends on your starting level, goals and lesson frequency. At a typical pace of two one-hour lessons per week, most students complete half a CEFR level within around three months.

Lessons combine speaking, listening, grammar and vocabulary, with a strong focus on using Dutch in real-life situations. You receive personal feedback and exercises to help you continue practising between lessons.

Some courses use books or additional learning materials. If materials are needed for your course, we'll let you know exactly what you need before you start.

Yes. Exam preparation is possible, depending on your current level and goals. During the free intake, we can discuss the exam you are preparing for and recommend the most suitable course or lesson format.
